Broccoli Oriental
1 small head brocolli ,cut into florets
1 tbsp butter or margarine
1tbsp sugar
1tbsp soy sauce
1tbsp water
1 small onion ,cut into rings
2 tsp sesame seed, toasted
Direction:
Cook broccoli according to package directions.Drain, keep warm. For fresh broccoli,blanch it in boiling water with a tsp of salt.Drain.Combine soy sauce, butter,sugar, onion rings and water.Heat till butter melts.Pour over broccoli.top with sesame seeds
Baked Chicken
Rub whole chicken with salt,pepper,garlic powder.Bake for 2 hours or until done at 350 degrees.Brush with butter once in a while for a crispy skin.You can pit some onions ,lemon grass or tamarind leaves inside the cavity for added flavor. Serve with gravy.

ReplyDeleteI never tried cooking broccoli with butter yet but this is the second time today I saw a similar recipe...I cook chicken that way too, add lemon or lemon grass and there's a big difference :) thanks for sharing....
